Rock! In the NOC Returns with Second to Last Minute and Sunday Ave!
Returning to WKNH tradition, we hosted two incredibly talented bands in the NOC for an unforgettable double-header live performance. Sunday Ave started the night out with a melancholic grunge performance, and Bloomsday followed them up with some listful indie goodness.
The second annual Rockin' Holidaze featured all of the fan-favorite activities from the first, including cookie and ornament decorating, a hot cocoa bar, tree lighting, and caroling all around the college's campus. A jolly good time to be sure.
A free concert to celebrate the end of the school year and help students unwind before finals week. Held on the Student Center Lawn, the concert featured live performances by Kendall Row, Blargg, Cozy Throne, and Sunday Ave. Lasting nearly five hours in total, this marathon event ended WKNH's year with a bang!
WORLD FAMOUS MUSICIAN Austin Weber drops by Keene State on the fourth stop of his nationwide WeberMania Tour. During the free concert in the Night Owl Café, Austin and his band played hits like "Using The Internet For French" and his viral rendition of ABBA's "Mamma Mia" alongside others. Austin also interacted greatly with the crowd, making both friends and enemies across the duration of his setlist. This event marked the first instance of live music in the Night Owl Cafe since the COVID-19 pandemic started in early 2020, which made this event a fan favorite among WKNH members and the campus in general.
A Merry event to wrap up the Fall semester, Rockin' Holidaze was many things. Inside the Student Center, we had snacks, goodies, and Christmas ornament painting. Outside on the lawn, the other half of WKNH was serving hot cocoa and preparing for a campus-wide Christmas caroling.
An afternoon of frights and frenzy, Spookfest was an electrifying event featuring live performances by seven different local musicians. The free concert in the Mabel Brown Room had such acts as Simon Furze, Sam Henry, Laquerhead, Ryan Murphy & Dylan Lemay, James Rinker, Alex Fradkin, and Blargg. The event also featured a prominent costume contest, with the grand prize winner receiving two tickets to see A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie live in concert.
An outdoor springtime bash, Craft 'n' Tunes was an event that brought WKNH into the world of fine arts by having attendees paint album covers. Real albums, imaginary albums, and everything in between was painted while we played music for all to hear.
The last traditional Rock In The NOC before the COVID-19 pandemic. This event may have marked the end of an era, but what a way to go out. A mix between Hardcore and Ska, this free concert featured performances from Sophisticated Adult and Sonic Libido, who provided a rockin' good time to those in attendance. The day the NOC can mosh again is a day I thirst for.
